News: Moroccan delegation visits Global Digital Trade Center

2026On the morning of 5 month 18, year, the Moroccan delegation visited the Global Digital Trade Center. The two sides held in-depth discussions on topics such as establishing the Global Digital Trade Center in Morocco and setting up a Moroccan National Pavilion in Beijing.
Representing Morocco was ILYAS EL OMARI, former President of the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima region and former General Secretary of the Authenticity and Modernity Party. Joining him were Jean-Vincent PLACE, former French Senator and former Secretary of State; Wang Yue, General Manager of Zhejiang Cilin International Trade Co., Ltd.; and Xie Lu, Director of Business Development. The meeting also included Li Yu, Vice President of the China-Asia Economic Development Association and Chairman of the Global Digital Trade Center, along with Liu Wensheng, Vice President of the Association's Digital Trade Committee, and Cao Ge, a member of the committee.
Elias El Oumari introduced the visiting delegation and the context of cooperation. Li Yu presented the Chinese team and provided an overview of the Global Digital Trade Center. Both sides focused on discussing the feasibility of establishing the Global Digital Trade Center in Morocco and the specific arrangements for setting up a Moroccan National Pavilion in Beijing. Additionally, both parties agreed to develop a concrete action plan and scheduled a delegation visit to Morocco this 6 month to advance the project with tangible results.
This progress meeting has built a vital bridge for all parties in the fields of digital trade and cross-border cooperation, laying a solid foundation for future project implementation.
